Equine Crisis Intervention  - SURRENDER PROGRAM

Horses come to Sar Shalom Stables & Rescue from many different sources. However, a large number of our horses are owner surrendered. These horses are turned over by owners who can no longer care for them. Surrending your horse can be a difficult decision to make, and we respect that. We are happy to answer questions you may have to help you make an informed decision.

Applications to SSS for owner surrenders are always accepted. However, it is important to understand that SSS may not be able to accept your horse immediately, if ever.

The first responsibility of SSS is to receive and rehabilitate horses in neglected and abused condition, above all others. Horses who are already in loving and caring homes don't need the immediate attention that neglected horses require. However, if we have space available, we would be glad to take your healthy and much loved horse, in order to find it a loving, "forever" home.

The first step in the surrender process is to complete and submit a surrender application. Once we recieve your application, we will contact you regarding our current space & financial availability.

You may download and submit your SURRENDER APPLICATION via:

*MAIL:    Sar Shalom Stables & Rescue  (908 4th St West, Roundup, MT 59072)
*EMAIL:   info@sarshalomstables.com

If we are able to accept your horse into our program the following information and documentation must be provided prior to intake:

*Horse's Registration Papers (if applicable)
*Surrender Fee $ (provided by the current owner, in the amount you are able to donate towards your horse's care until they are placed in their new adopted home)
